AGC announces presence at Mondial du Bâtiment 2017

AGC, the world leader in flat glass, has confirmed it will be present at the Mondial du Bâtiment 2017 show (Hall 5A). It will also be exhibiting in the Glastetik booth - AGC's network of glaziers - at Idéobain.

In Hall 5A, visitors can proceed to booth H11 to learn more about three AGC monumental glass products, as well as a BIPV glass solution for applications in louvres with on-board photovoltaic cells. The former is a 5-metre-high facade window made of Glassiled Motion active glass. It has been assembled as double glazing and features built-in monochrome and RGB LEDs that can be controlled individually. While the window fulfils its primary role during the day (solar control, light transmission, etc.), at night the building's facade not only provides thermal insulation, but also transforms into a giant screen on which animations and videos can be played. The glass retains 99% of its transparency, yet even though the LEDs used by AGC consume very little energy, they are very bright and can be seen from more than 3 km away! Another major solution will be on display at booth H11 (Hall 5A). In response to architectural demands for ever-larger glass walls, AGC will unveil a 4.2-metre-high Pyrobel T fire-resistant tempered glass solution. Fire safety is now available in large sizes.

On the corporate side, visitors can learn more about AGC's new environmental report that confirms its ongoing long-term commitment and delivers especially positive environmental results: 6,697 MWh in photovoltaic electricity generation, CO2 emissions cut by 11% since 2002 and by half since 1998, the equivalent of 4,400 fewer trucks on the roads per year as a result of shipping by water and rail, and a 1:10 carbon footprint ratio. In addition, AGC Glass Europe, the world's first and only glass maker to obtain Cradle to Cradle Certified Bronze certification for its Thermobel insulating glazing in January 2017, now offers the widest range of Silver and Bronze certified products.

One last thing visitors must not miss at Mondial du Bâtiment 2017: AGC is also exhibiting at Idéobain (Hall 3 - G62) in a booth dedicated to customised home decorative glass solutions with its Glastetik network. Glastetik is a network of France's best processors and glaziers, all of whom are highly trained in all types of glass and all interior applications. It is committed to providing high-quality services with quick turnaround times (48 hours). Glastetik is a key partner delivering technical expertise, responsiveness and creativity in horizontal (tables, shelves, etc.) and vertical applications (furniture cladding) using impact-resistant glass, tempered painted glass products in the Lacobel T and Matelac T ranges, as well as decorative mirror and balustrade glass solutions.
