AGC has been recognized in 2023  as a CDP "A-” company for "Climate Change" in recognition of its environmental leadership  and proactive disclosing actions on climate change.

This A- recognition is based on the annual questionnaire on "climate change" conducted by CDP, an international non-profit organization. CDP uses a detailed and independent methodology to assess companies, allocating a score of A to D- based on the comprehensiveness of disclosure, awareness and management of environmental risks and demonstration of best practices associated with environmental leadership, such as setting ambitious and meaningful targets.

AGC also received certification from the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi ) for its 2030 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction targets. This is an important independent approval of AGC’s sustainability trajectory.

These goals were certified as “WB2°C (well-below 2°C)”, and are thus certified as science based goals to limit the global average temperature increase from pre-industrial times to well below 2°C.
