AGC Glass Europe and Interpane start their alliance in the glass business effectively as from today. This alliance, announced in December 2011, has been cleared under the Merger Regulation by the EU Commission.
The alliance in brief
AGC Glass Europe and Interpane are both float glass producers and have complementary processing activities. Their geographical footprint and product specialties show an ideal combination. Through Interpane, AGC gains an industrial presence, mainly in the German flat glass market, and expects to enlarge its range of coated products. In search of new markets, Interpane for its part will benefit from the extended network and industrial presence of AGC throughout Europe.
