Customer centric operations
AGC Glass Europe is operating in the construction industry, the automotive industry and the solar industry. Its organisation is customer-centred, oriented towards the markets and their specific requirements. This organisation is made up of four divisions: Raw Glass, Processed Glass, Automotive Glass and Solar Glass.
- The Raw Glass division develops and produces glass in large dimensions (generally 6 x 3.21 m) : float, coated glass (online or offline), patterned glass, laminated glass and mirrors. Products are destined for processing. The processing is done either internally by the 3 other divisions, or externally by the customers themselves.
- The Processed Glass division processes the raw glass into finished products for the construction industry (outside glazing, mirrors and glass for interior decoration), the transport sector (glass for ships and railway), for high-tech applications (thin glass), specalized industries (fire-resistant glass) and domestic appliances (joint venture with Schott).
- The Automotive Division produces a comprehensive range of automotive glazing (windshields, side windows, rear windscreens, panoramic roofs) for the OEM market (Original Equipment Manufacturing) and the ARG market (Automotive Replacement Glass). It has AVO units (Added Value Operations) specialized in adding one or more components to automotive glazing (fittings, antennas, rain sensors...).
- The Solar Division develops and produces glass for solar applications : photovoltaic panels, concentrating solar mirrors (electricity generation) and thermal solar panels (production of hot water).
These 4 divisions are supported by 5 transversal departments : Technology & Innovation, Finance, HR & Communication, Strategic Planning and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
